Graded EX 5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Pose 0501. This is one of two examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of just three copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. While Hanlon was a superb outfielder, he had even greater success as manager, most notably with the great Baltimore Orioles teams of the mid-1890s. The offered card pictures Hanlon with the 1887 Detroit team, with which he excelled for eight of his 13 seasons as a professional player. Excellent condition.
