A partial set – 410 of 622 cards – is presented. This gallery contains more than two-thirds of the subjects in the N224 Kinney "Military Series" insert set issued in 1887. The baseball card collecting hobby has its "Monster" (the 1909-11 T206 White Border set) and this release is its non-sports equivalent in terms of breadth and complexity. The assembly accurately depicts authentic military uniforms of various nations and tribes of the time, and stands as an excellent historical reference of the subject. This is a very worthy "starter group" for an engaging, long-term project. Grades 33% VG/EX to EX (including a few nicer), 36% GD/VG to VG, 31% lesser (including some trimmed).
