Each card has been graded by PSA. Presented is a 10-card complete set of the extremely desirable baseball-player subjects from Allen & Ginter's N28 The World's Champions tobacco insert production produced in 1887. This production was one of the very first insert productions to include players from a newly developed game called "Base Ball." Contained in this array are the top names from a selection of athletic endeavors. The issue features remarkable color in their detailed obverse lithographs while the reverse carries a full checklist for the roster of players to appear in the set. As expected, its ten baseball subjects hold the greatest following and six of the ten players representing the sport would eventually be inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame. Includes: Graded
PSA GD+ 2.5: 4 cards w/Caruthers, Comiskey, Glasscock and Keefe;
PSA GD 2: 5 cards w/Anson, Clarkson, Kelly, Mulvey and Ward;
PSA PR 1: 1 card, Bennett. The majority of the cards present much nicer than their technical grades, but have been downgraded due to album residue on the reverse.
