Offered is a 47-card near set (missing Chub, Sardine and Whitefish for completion) of N8 "Fish from American Waters" insert tobacco card series produced by Allen & Ginter in the 1880s. Acquiring admirable examples of this edition are a challenge to modern hobbyists. As is the case with most 19th Century releases, the colors are bold and attractive with a lithographic quality much higher than most collectors anticipate.
