The complete set of 50 cards is presented. A thoroughly engaging series – especially to those collectors who cherish their canine companions – this 1890 N163 Goodwin "Dogs of the World"insert production acts as a visual chronicle of popular modern breeds (Poodle, Pug, Retriever) as well as some that are no longer widely seen. Each card features a color illustration of a specific breed on the front, and distinctive graphics with the Goodwin logo on the back. The dogs are identified by name on the cardfronts as well as the reverse sides. Twenty cards have been graded by PSA. Includes: Graded PSA NM 7: 1 card, Deer Hound; PSA EX-MT 6: 6 cards w/Chinese Puzzle, Dachshund, Sheep Dog (Smooth), Siberian Wolf Hound, St. Bernard (Rough) and Yorkshire; PSA EX+ 5.5: 2 cards w/Greyhound and St. Bernard (Smooth); PSA EX 5: 7 cards w/ Black/Tan Terrier, Newfoundland, Otter Hound, Pointer, Pomeranian, Retriever and Sheep Dog (Rough); PSA VG-EX+ 4.5: 1 card, Cocker Spaniel; PSA VG-EX 4: 1 card, Chinese Crested; PSA VG 3: 2 cards w/Bulldog and Irish Setter. Unholdered cards grade GD/VG to EX (a couple lesser). With its considerable crossover appeal among breed loyalists, and its inherent scarcity, this desirable issue is particularly difficult to obtain in complete-set form.
