Offered in this lot are four tickets to various Democratic National Conventions in the 19th and 20th centuries. The first ticket is from the 1896 Democratic National Convention at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This ticket is for August 12th, 1896. It has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (209423368). The second ticket is from the 1908 DNC in Denver, Colorado. This ticket is from July 7th, the first day of the convention. William Jennings Bryan was the Democratic Party’s nominee for President, while John W. Kern of Indiana earned the vice-presidential nomination. This ticket is not encapsulated.

The third ticket in this lot is from the 1916 DNC in St. Louis. It is a press ticket for June 14th, the first day of the convention. Woodrow Wilson, the incumbent President, was the Democratic nominee. He would defend his posting in the general election, leading the country until his incapacitation via stroke in 1919. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20942361). The final ticket in this lot is from the 1948 DNC in Philadelphia. It is an employee ticket, valid for all sessions of the Convention. Harry S. Truman, who took over the presidency from Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1945, was nominated for the presidency. This full ticket has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21147185).
