One of America’s most popular presidents, Theodore Roosevelt, was a man of vast interests not limited to the office of the Presidency. A veteran of the Spanish-American War, Roosevelt established the National Park Service and became known for his progressive policies favoring the American worker. A masterful negotiator, Roosevelt was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for negotiating the end of the Russo-Japanese War. Roosevelt was a lifelong outdoorsman, known almost as much for his vigorous spirit as his political achievements. Famously, Roosevelt attempted to run for the office of President in the 1912 election after being frustrated by the conservatism of William Howard Taft. His Bull Moose Party, while unsuccessful, left a lasting impact on American politics during the 20th century. This presented illustration of the White House rests inside a 7 x 5 ½ -inch frame and was signed by Roosevelt on March 27th, 1906, during his second term. The gorgeously detailed illustration is in black and white and is ultra-realistic and almost seems lifelike and was drawn on a now-toned piece of paper. Roosevelt’s bold signature and the inscription “March 27th, 1906” appear at the bottom of the illustration in black ink. The frame contains some tarnish that does nothing to take away from the splendor of this presented specimen. The illustration of the White House signed by former President Theodore Roosevelt comes with an LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
