Among a total of more than nine hundred "Off Shoulder" Cobb cards recorded in PSA's census reporting, fewer than twenty examples have achieved a higher tier. This variety of the issue's homage to Ty Cobb, with its detailed pose of the Tigers' great hitter and its phenomenal palette of background hues, is one of the most colorful and aesthetically gratifying of all T206 subjects. The offered card of this mini-masterpiece promises visual enhancement for any high-grade collection. Its centering is quite respectable, and its balanced, clean white borders harmonize with the card's beautiful design to afford tremendous overall eye appeal. The corners are commendably sharp in appearance, and traces of faint, unobtrusive wear are observable only through the most diligent examination. The card's back is bright and boldly printed.
