Graded 92 NM/MT+ 8.5 by SGC. Hall of Famer. “Sweet Caporal - 350 Subjects” back. This is the only example at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of thirty-two copies recorded in SGC's census reporting. (The next-best, lesser specimen occupies the EX/MT level.) This is how every T206 should look! Keeler's batting pose is captured against a lovely dichotomy of green grass and blue-tinted sky. Extraordinarily clean white borders form the ideal frame for the item's sublime, perfectly registered pastel colors. Impeccably sharp corners grace each aspect, and the reverse shows bold red printing against pure white cardstock. "Wee Willie" Keeler compiled a .345 batting average during his 20-year career, and was enshrined at Cooperstown in 1939. This is an exceptionally fresh and original copy of Keeler's highly desirable T206 card, and it is easily one of the very best of its subject in the hobby. Beautifully preserved Near Mint to Mint-plus condition.
