Encapsulated and assessed "Authentic" by PSA. Beyond its obvious association with the American Caramel Company, many details about this obscure release remain unknown. (One aspect that is known is that the items are quite rare and desirable!) Based on individual E125s' dimensions—roughly 4-1/2" x 6"—it's unlikely that the pieces were packaged with any standard-sized confectionery product. Only four teams are represented in the production: the Athletics, Giants, Pirates and Red Sox. The offered card, one of the most prized entries in the set, pictures the Pirates' Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner in a throwing pose. Due to E125 collectibles' distinctive proportions, and the fact that they were die-cut, most surviving examples are in substandard condition, and they're often found with torn or missing components. On this specimen, the glove which should be on his left hand is missing. The reverse, which features advertising for the American Caramel Co.'s "Action Picture Caramels," along with a checklist for the Pittsburg team, concedes light staining.
