Graded GD 2 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is one of just slightly more than fifty examples recorded in PSA’s census reporting. Presented is a very scarce career-contemporary piece depicting baseball and hobby legend Honus Wagner, hailing from a coveted release that was designed to showcase the 1909 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates. This individual American Caramel tribute features the classic Carl Horner image that's hauntingly reminiscent of the great Wagner's T206 pose. The offered item is nicely centered, displaying great color with a bold, penetrating image, and its crossed-bat-style logo reverse is deeply inked. Moderate and fundamentally inoffensive evidence of handling, along with a stain on the item's back, serve as the rationale for PSA's formal assessment of the brightly hued collectible, but the piece's extremely favorable aesthetic easily overpowers those nominal faults. A desirable, high-quality survivor, in commendable Good condition.
