In 1910 the Philadelphia Athletics kick started a dynasty by winning their first ever World Series title. Connie Mack’s men won titles in 1910, 1911, and 1913, with the one-two pitching combination of Jack Coombs and Chief Bender driving the A’s to their inaugural title. The backbone of the team was made of the “$100,000 Infield” of Home Run Baker, Jack Berry, Eddie Collins, and Stuffy McIness, each of whom contributed key at bats and clutch glovework to lead the A’s to the World Series.

Offered here is the program from the Athletics dinner celebration on November 5^th, 1910, at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel. The front of this program is decorated with a white elephant, as well as the United States and City of Philadelphia flags. Inside is the invitation given to John E. Rayburn, at the time Philadelphia’s mayor. Also included is a set of menus, and a page listing the guests of honor, which included the 1910 Athletics, the 1883 American Association Philadelphia Athletics, and the 1871 National Association Philadelphia Athletics. Each of these teams won championships in their leagues. This program is in good condition, although the pages are not bound in the booklet.
