Graded 35 GD+ 2.5 by SGC, one of just two examples validated by that company. This unused, 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" postcard pictures the "A.L. Champions" Philadelphia Athletics team. The pennant-winning squad depicted on the card – a roster featuring such stars as Eddie Plank, Chief Bender, Home Run Baker, Jack Coombs, Eddie Collins and Cy Morgan – won the franchise's first World Championship in 1910 by vanquishing the Chicago Cubs in the Fall Classic. The piece retains solid photo quality and a very satisfying, vintage appearance, with evidence of handling seen primarily in natural corner wear. Good-plus condition
