Presented is a 153-card complete set of T218 "Champion Athletes and Prizefighters" distributed with the Hassan and Mecca tobacco brands. Issued in 1910 with Hassan and Mecca cigarettes and was entitled "Champion Athletes and Prize Fighters." For the time, this was a colossal achievement of 153 different subjects, principally comprised of noted athletes and boxers. In addition to the highly desirable pugilists, the set offers a selection of golfers (6), aviators (4), billiard champions (15, including two Willie Hoppe cards), bowlers (4), plus numerous Olympics-class track and field stars, and swimmers. There's even a roller skating champ and a professional walker! The pugilistic subjects include Jack Johnson (2), Jim Jeffries (2), plus Joe Gans, Joe Jeannette, Sam Langford, Abe Attell, Young Corbett, William Papke, Stanley Ketchell, Ad Wolgast, Battling Nelson, Tom Sharkey, Mike Sullivan (2), Jack O'Brien and many others.
