Presented is a 62-card complete set of T218 "Series of Champion Athletes and Prizefighters" boxing cards issued by Mecca and Hassan in 1910. The most highly prized subjects from the sizable T218 "Champion Athlete & Prize Fighter" series are the hardened warriors representing the sport of boxing. Produced during the early 1910s by Mecca Cigarettes, this release has proved to be one of the benchmarks of early 20th Century tobacco collectibles. Highlights include: Attell (GD), Young Corbett (VG), Gans (GD), Jeannette (FR), Jeffries/Front (VG), Jeffries/Side (FR, marker), Johnson/Front (PR, pen), Johnson/Side (PR), Ketchell (GD), Langford (VG/EX) and Nelson (VG/EX). Grades 58% VG to VG/EX, 42% GD to GD/VG (including a few lesser).
