Presented is a 24-card mid-grade complete set of E26 John Dockman "Menagerie Gum" non-sports cards issued in the 1910s. Each of these approximately 1-1/2 x 2-3/4" collectibles were found in packages of Menagerie Gum. The cardfronts boast colorful animal images with their subjects' names etched in black; backs feature the title of the series, packaging information, a checklist and the manufacturer's name. Although checklisted as a 27-card set, most hobbyists consider this set complete at twenty-four cards (omitting the chimerical Antelope, Prairie Dog and Boar examples). The attractive set grades 42% EX to EX/MT (mostly EX), 58% VG to VG/EX (including two lesser).
