Long assumed to have had their origins as the Imperial Tobacco Company's Canadian version of baseball's T206, the splendid collectibles known as "C55" convey an incomparable sense of the early game. The offered specimen, depicting the legendary Georges Vezina, is an especially creditable representative of its fragile type. Its bright colors are well-preserved and nicely defined, and the still well-formed corners reveal just modest degrees of clean wear. The cardback print, placed against an expanse of clear white, is bold and unimpaired. This is the revered, glorious issue's "key" card, in finely detailed Very Good to Excellent-plus condition.
