Graded EX 5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is one of three examples at its tier (with three graded higher) among a scant total of 29 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. Detroit Tigers superstar Ty Cobb is captured in an action pose on this scarce caramel insert. The Close Candy company used a multitude of background colors for its E94 cards, and chose green as the backdrop for this brilliant piece which acts as a perfect backdrop to highlight this attractive pose. The card is well-centered and concedes honest corner wear; its back is clean, sporting superb text quality and legibility. As a point of reference on value, this exact card sold at auction in 2008 for nearly $18,000. Here's a centerpiece collectible - and one of the finer examples available of one of Cobb's scarcer collectibles - in pleasing Excellent condition.
