Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is one of just three examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of more than three hundred copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. Two Washington stalwarts on a single card! Offered is the sought-after T201 that carries a single-surface image of Walter Johnson as well as an artfully bisected one featuring teammate Charles Street. As is well known among those many enthusiasts who justifiably admire this issue's aesthetic, these metamorphic cards were produced on extremely thin stock and are very susceptible to creasing, especially around their natural, horizontal folds. The offered specimen is amazingly free of this routine pitfall's effects. The item exhibits phenomenal colors, a clean reverse and sharp corners, and is absolutely among the finest examples known of its desirable type. This is a piece that merits a place of respect in one of the hobby's finest assemblies. Near Mint to Mint-plus condition.
