Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States, has signed this typed letter to Curtis Guild, a former governor of Massachusetts and a friend of Roosevelt’s from their days at Harvard University. In this letter, Roosevelt discusses his previous visit to Oyster Bay with Guild, stating that he was “so glad that [Guild] saw [his] daughter on the Dolphin.” At the end of this letter, Roosevelt signed his name in black pen and hand wrote “Best of luck, oh Ambassador! I am immensely pleased with your appointment. Its fine.” This letter is dated to May 26th, 1911, shortly before Roosevelt began campaigning for the election of 1912. The letter is typed on The Outlook letterhead and is displayed in this 20 x 16 inch frame along with a black and white photograph of Roosevelt. This item comes with a LOA from JSA.
