In 1911, the Philadelphia Athletics won their second World Series with a six-game victory over the New York Giants. Offered in this lot is a ticket stub from the clinching Game 6, a 13-2 Athletics win at Shibe Park in North Philadelphia. The A’s bats jumped on starter Red Ames and his relief, Hooks Wiltse, while Chief Bender threw a complete game and allowed only two unearned runs for the “Mackmen”. Danny Murphy had a 4-4 night for the A’s, scoring three runs, and Harry Davis and Jack Barry each contributed two RBI. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded a VG-EX 4 by PSA (25052108).
