Presented here is a ticket stub to Game 6 of the 1912 World Series, a 4-3-1 Red Sox victory over the New York Giants, with a 6-6 tie in Game 2 necessitating the eighth contest. Game 6 took place at Polo Grounds and finished 5-2 in favor of the home team. The Giants scored all five of their runs in the first inning thanks to a wild combination of a balk, two doubles, a steal of home by Buck Herzog, and an RBI single. The Red Sox fought back to score two unearned runs on a second inning double off the bat of Clyde Engel, but Rube Marquard recovered to throw an excellent complete game victory. This ticket has been laminated, and it is encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22319161).
