Presented here is a ticket from Game 4 of the 1913 World Series between the Philadelphia Athletics and the New York Giants. Chief Bender threw a complete game for the A’s, leading the Junior Circuit outfit to a 6-5 win over the Giants at Shibe Park. Wally Schang knocked in four runs for the A’s, while a three-run homer from Giants star Fred Merkle in the top of the seventh nearly got the Giants back in this one. The A’s would go on to win Game 5 3-1, earning the A’s their third World Series title. This ticket stub has been graded a VG 3 and encapsulated by PSA (21243129).
