The historic Yale Bowl football stadium opened in 1914 with “The Game” between the Yale Bulldogs and the Harvard Crimson. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, the collegians from Cambridge overcame the home team in a dominant 36-0 victory. This was Harvard’s third straight win over Yale, and in the four-year period from 1912 to 1915, the Crimson outscored the Bulldogs 112-5. This photograph shows a packed Yale Bowl at kickoff. The photograph, which is black and white, measures 50.5 x 9.5 inches and it comes in a 53 x 10-inch framed display.
