Graded 96 MINT 9 by SGC. This is one of just two examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of fifty-six copies recorded in SGC's census reporting. The legend of Joe Jackson is widely known to all baseball enthusiasts. Unfortunately for modern collectors, the great player's career was abridged by scandal, and his inclusion in contemporary card sets was correspondingly limited. Besides a strip card, a few black-and-white issues and a caramel card from his early days with the Athletics, there are very few period mementos of the legendary hitter's career. One of the few card sets that features a career-contemporary Jackson entry is the Cracker Jack release, which showcases a youthful depiction of Joe Jackson. The alluring Cracker Jack production, with its bold and rich colors, some hobbyists argue, is one of the most beautiful sets ever produced.

The cardfront's design provides the classic, colorful batting pose of Jackson which is blanketed against the unmistakable and colorful red backdrop. Stylized letters identifying the card as one of the "Cracker Jack Ball Players" deliciously decorate the top edge, while the back carries a biography of "Shoeless Joe," along with instructions on how to obtain a full set of 1915 Cracker Jack cards by mail. There is an extremely limited number of cards that reach the zenith of collecting greatness, and the offered example is one of them. This brightly colored relic exhibits snow-white borders that culminate in sharp points, and is devoid of wear under close scrutiny. The surface shows no signs of wear or hint of contact with the product it originally accompanied. Jackson's image retains crystal clear clarity, while possessing formidable eye appeal. The card's reverse text is boldly printed against a very clean, white background. A splendid example of one of the hobby's true crown jewels, and one of the finest known, in unmistakable Mint condition.
