This stunning vintage Chicago White Sox program and scorecard dates to the 1916 MLB season. From the annotations present in the scorecard, it can be surmised that this item was produced for the August 9th contest between the White Sox and the Boston Red Sox at Comiskey Park. The Red Sox won this game 3-1 in 12 innings, with Boston starter Ernie Shore and White Sox hurler Jim Scott each going the distance. Harry Hooper went 3-6 with two RBI for the Red Sox, with Hick Cady recording the other RBI in a 2-4 performance. Happy Felsch knocked in the only run of the game for the home team, while Eddie Collins finished 3-5 and Shoeless Joe Jackson endured an 0-5 performance. George Hildebrand and Brick Owens were the umpiring crew for this day game. There are some pencil markings and notes in the scorecard, however it is unscored.
