The Boston Red Sox won their second consecutive World Series title in 1916, defeating the Brooklyn Robins in a five-game set. Babe Ruth was a hero for the Sox in this World Series, his second of 10 career World Series appearances, after hurling a 14-inning complete game to give the Red Sox a 2-1 win in Game 2. Offered here is a ticket stub to the clinching fifth game, a 4-1 Red Sox win at Braves Field. Ernie Shore pitched a complete game for the Red Sox, allowing only one unearned run, as the regular Jeff Pfeffer picked up the loss for Brooklyn. This ticket has been encapsulated and authenticated by SGC.
