Presented in this lot is a 1918 grand stand pass for Boston Red Sox games at Fenway Park. The Red Sox claimed the American League flag in the WWI-shortened season of 1918, compiling a 75-51 record and knocking off the Chicago Cubs in a six-game Fall Classic. The 23-year old Babe Ruth starred as a pitcher and a hitter for the Sox, going 13-7 with a 2.22 ERA in 20 appearances while hitting .300 with 11 homers, 61 RBI, 11 triples, and 26 doubles in just over 300 at-bats. This pass was good for several historic events at Fenway Park, including Walter Johnson’s 266th career win on May 1st and Ty Cobb’s 66th career homer on August 26th.
