Presented is a ticket stub from Game 6 of the 1919 World Series, the infamous “Black Sox” World Series between the Chicago White Sox and the Cincinnati Reds. The White Sox beat the Reds, 5-4, in 10 innings at Redland Field in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dickie Kerr, starting for the White Sox, was less dominant than he was in Game 3. Aided and abetted by three errors, the Reds jumped out to a 4–0 lead before Chicago fought back, tying the game at 4–4 in the sixth, which remained the score into extra innings. In the top of the tenth, Chick Gandil drove in Buck Weaver to make it 5–4, and Kerr closed it out to record his—and Chicago's—second win. The Reds would eventually capture the 1919 World Series title, five games to three (the 1919 World Series was a best-of-nine series (along with the 1903, 1920, and 1921 World Series). This ticket has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20544420).
