Graded GD+ 2.5 by SGC. Hall of Famer. Once thought to be a subset of other 1920s-era black-and-white photo sets, it is now known that the Holsum Bread release is a unique issue unto itself. Holsum bread cards are very challenging, with many being unique examples. The offered card pictures eventual Cooperstown enshrinee Rogers Hornsby in a fascinating career-contemporary depiction. A thoroughly attractive collectible, the piece exhibits inoffensive corner rounding and mild, general wear from handling. The reverse, which sports the sought-after Holsum Bread advertisement, is very clean. An incredibly elusive "type" card featuring the legendary Hornsby, in respectable Good-plus condition.
