1920 was a seminal year for the New York Yankees. While 1919 produced a solid 80-59 record, the acquisition of Babe Ruth from the Boston Red Sox would forever change the trajectory of what is now and largely in part due to Ruth’s acquisition, the most successful team in baseball history. This offered American League stamped baseball has six signatures with five members from that 1920 New York Yankees team that finished with a 95-59 record. On the south panel is the distinguishable signature of Babe Ruth in black pen, along with a lighter blue signature of Hank Thormahlen. The north panel has a light blue signature of Carl Mays, while the west panel has a light signature of Fred Hofmann. The signature of Hall of Famer Frank “Lefty” O’Doul is on the sweet spot and the remaining signature of Jeff Tesreau, who last played for the New York Giants in 1918, is in light blue on the east panel. This comes with a LOA from JSA (Y99050). Please note that JSA has determined that the signature of Babe Ruth has been traced, but his signature is authentic.
