Presented here is a ticket to Game 7 of the 1921 World Series between the New York Yankees and New York Giants. This was the seventh of eight games in the 1921 Fall Classic, the last World Series to be played in a best-of-nine format. The Polo Grounds hosted each game of the World Series, with the Giants the nominal home team for Game 7. The series was tied at three games apiece before Game 7, which saw Carl Mays of the Yankees and Phil Douglas of the Giants throw dueling complete games. Douglas and the Giants came out on top by a score of 2-1 after RBI from Irish Meusel and Frank Snyder. Mike McNally drove in the Yankees only run in the absence of Babe Ruth, who missed the game due to a wrenched knee suffered in Game 5. The Giants won the eighth game of the World Series 1-0 to win the second Fall Classic in franchise history. This offered ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21062700).
