Each pin has been graded EX-MT 6 or finer by PSA. A Hall of Fame trio. All of these items are members of PSA-graded census totals numbering fewer than thirty pieces, and all are among single-digit populations at their respective levels. The Toledo-based Mrs. Sherlock's Bakery sponsored several pin productions in the 1920s and '30s, and all but one of them featured players of the hometown Mud Hens. That exception was unveiled in 1924 as a pin promotion that was devised to highlight ten of Major League Baseball's shining stars – in fact, nine of the series' ten subjects were eventually enshrined at Cooperstown. Projecting from the surface of the 7/8"-diameter pinbacks (manufactured by Bastian Bros.) were the photo images of the game's best, as was most widely acknowledged at the time. The threesome includes: Graded PSA NM 7: 1 pin, Honus Wagner; PSA EX-MT 6: 2 pins w/Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth. Excellent to Mint to Near Mint condition throughout.
