With a 3-0 defeat of Switzerland in the tournament final, Uruguay left Europe having made an indelible mark in soccer history. After winning the tournament final at Stade Olympique, Uruguay embarked on the first-ever Olympic lap of honor around the stadium, creating an Olympic tradition that lasts to this day. Offered in this lot is an offset printing tin plate of La Celeste waving to fans at the 1924 Olympics. This tin plate printing originates from the archives of Mundo Uruguayo magazine and measures 6.25 x 4.25 inches. It is in good condition.
