1924 saw Walter Johnson and the Washington Senators win their first World Series title in franchise history with a thrilling seven-game defeat of the New York Giants. Offered here is a ticket stub to Game 2 of the 1924 World Series, a 4-3 Senators victory that evened the series at a game apiece. Washington starter Tom Zachary made it into the eighth inning before surrendering two quick runs to tie the ballgame at three. Firpo Marberry closed out the eighth inning and Roger Peckinpaugh’s RBI double three batters into the bottom of the ninth walked it off for Washington at Griffith Stadium. This offered ticket stub has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA (20810122).
