The Pittsburgh Pirates became the first team in baseball history to overturn a three-games-to-one deficit in the World Series after executing a thrilling comeback against the Washington Senators in the Fall Classic. The Pirates rallied from three separate three run deficits to win Game 7 by a 9-7 score at the historic Forbes Field in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Offered in this lot is a 30 x 7-inch panoramic photograph taken at Forbes Field during 1925 World Series action. Games 1, 2, 6 and 7 were played at Forbes Field, with the Pirates winning all but Game 1 at home. Many buildings from the nearby University of Pittsburgh are visible over the first base line of the stadium. This photograph is in good condition.
