Despite the presence of numerous Hall of Famers on their roster, the Chicago White Sox of the mid-1920’s were still reeling from the Black Sox scandal, finishing no better than fifth in the American League in every season from 1921 to 1935. Presented here is a ball signed by the circa 1925/26 Chicago White Sox. Fifth place finishers in both years, the White Sox were led by Hall of Fame player/manager Eddie Collins. The White Sox finished above .500 both seasons, but the pennants went to the Washington Senators and New York Yankees.

This Official American League baseball with blue and red stitches has been signed by 21 members of the 1925/26 White Sox, including Hall of Famers Eddie Collins, Chief Bender, Red Faber, Ray Schalk, and Ted Lyons. Other signatures include Ted Blankenship, B.B. Johnson, John Grabowski, Bibb Falk, James Edwards, Ray Morehart, Harry McCurdy, Moe Berg, Ben Egan, Milt Steengrafe, Willie Kamm, and several more. These signatures have been written in black pen. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A04470).
