A sixteen-card uncut sheet of this intriguing, anonymously issued "strip card" series is offered. Themed as 1-15/16" x 2-3/4" playing cards with central red-and-white head photos of the time's most famous athletes, W560's original uncut form is configured in 4-by-4 arrangements of the cards on sheets of approximately 7" x 11" dimensions. This sheet provides generous borders on three of its sides. Nine of the panel's sixteen individual cards depict baseball players, and the remainder feature football and boxing, plus one actor. Baseball stars present on the sheet include: Babe Ruth, Waite Hoyt, Fred Lindstrom, Rogers Hornsby and Paul Waner. Most of the key pieces (including that of Ruth) have been shielded by their bordering brethren, and rate assessment as fundamentally uncirculated. A tremendous presentation, in direct-from-the-unknown-factory form!
