Presented here is a press pass good for the New York Yankees July 11th, 1928 doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers. Detroit won the first game 4-2, but Babe Ruth’s 449th career homer in Game 2 helped the Yankees to a 6-5 home win. Waite Hoyt earned his 144th win for the Yankees while Earle Combs and Mark Koenig each plated two runs for the Yankees. The Yankees went on to win the World Series, sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals to end the 1928 season. This full press pass has been encapsulated and graded a GOOD 2 by PSA (31213643).
