1930 FIFA World Cup host nation and eventual victors Uruguay destroyed Romania by a 4-0 scoreline in their Group Stage matchup on July 21st, 1930. The win allowed Uruguay to advance to the knockout rounds with a perfect group stage performance, scoring five goals and allowing zero in Montevideo’s Estadio Centenario, the host stadium for the majority of the World Cup matches. Pablo Dorado, Hector Scarone, Juan Anselmo, and Jose Pedro Cea scored for Uruguay, while center back Jose Nasazzi and goalkeeper Enrique Ballestrero kept the defense ordered and organized. Offered in this lot is a ticket from the Uruguay and Romania game at Estadio Centenario. The ticket is in good condition and comes with a letter of provenance.
