Each card has been graded by PSA. Presented is a 24-card complete set of 1930s R72 Schutter-Johnson "I'm Going To Be" non-sports cards. With its 6.23 GPA, this incredible assembly merits "#1 Current Finest" accolades on the PSA Set Registry! All but five cards stand as the highest-graded copies extant; just a single superior example exists in four of those entries. Goldin Auctions is proud to present this remarkable set – a painstakingly constructed gallery that has claimed pinnacle Registry status for the past seven years! A brightly hued celebration of young Americans' innocent ambitions, this production depicts a variety of future occupations as envisioned by 1930s schoolchildren. The cards' fanciful "I'm Going to Be" scenes—wherein such professions as Athlete, Baseball Player, Fireman, Movie Star and Policeman are showcased—will enliven any collection of early 20th Century gum cards. A twenty-fifth card (#4 "Strongman" - not included in the offered set) was the impossibly rare redemption piece needed to acquire prizes from the series' producer; the #4 piece is so rare that, as a practical matter, the set is typically considered “Complete” at twenty-four different cards. Includes: Graded PSA NM-MT 8: 1 card, #17 Magician; PSA NM 7: 8 cards w/#'s 3 Animal Trainer, 5 Swimmer, 9 Jockey, 10 Athlete, 11 Movie Star, 14 Policeman, 20 Locomotive Engineer and 25 Hunter; PSA EX-MT+ 6.5: 2 cards w/#'s 7 Pirate and 16 Aviator; PSA EX-MT 6: 7 cards w/#'s 2 Wrestler, 8 Auto Racer, 12 Cowboy, 18 Detective, 19 Baseball Player, 23 Sailor and 24 Drum Major; PSA EX+ 5.5: 1 card, #6 Radio Announcer; PSA EX 5: 5 cards w/#'s 1 Clown, 13 Firemen, 15 Gold Miner, 21 Boxer and 22 Speed Cop.

1930s R72 Schutter-Johnson "Im Going To Be" Complete Set (24) Minus #4 Strongman - #1 on the PSA Set Registry!
