It's Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field on October 1, 1932. Baseball enthusiasts know all about the fabled tale that begins as Babe Ruth steps to the plate against Cubs hurler Charlie Root in the 5th inning . Amid the taunts of Chicago fans and Cubs team members, and with two strikes on him, the Bambino suddenly points to the outfield. On the very next pitch, he connects for a mammoth home run into the centerfield bleachers. The incident typified the enormity of Ruth's legend, as the story spread from coast to coast and, through the years, from generation to generation. Presented here is an actual ticket stub from that near-mythic moment in the history of our National Pastime. The paper artifact displays bold graphics and full legibility. A few creases, consistent with game-day handling followed by a brief period of pocket storage, can be seen about the piece's surface. A wonderful vintage keepsake from one of the sport's most exciting games! This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded a 2 good overall by PSA/DNA.
