The New York Yankees finished second in the American League in 1933 with a record of 91-59. Though they didn’t capture the pennant that year, the Yankees were still a major force with its star-studded roster, having six Hall of Famers in their batting order and three in the pitching rotation. Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig paced the offense, with each Hall of Famer hitting over 30 home runs, 100 RBI, and at least .304.

Offered is this Official American League William Harridge stamped baseball featuring 15 signatures from the 1933 New York Yankees. Remarkably, all of the blue and black ink signatures on this red and blue stitched baseball are bold and present beautifully on this heavily toned ball. Babe Ruth’s distinctive signature is boldly signed on the sweet spot, while fellow Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig, along with Frank Crosetti and Sam Byrd are on the west panel with the reach stamp. The north panel has the signatures of Hall of Famers Bill Dickey and Tony Lazzeri, along with the signatures of Dixie Walker and Wilcy Moore (signed Cy Moore).

The south panel with the faded Harridge stamp has the signatures of Hall of Famers Earle Combs and Red Ruffing (signed Chas Ruffing), along with the signatures of Johnny Allen, Danny MacFayden. The final panel, with “The Cushioned Cork Center” stamp has the signatures of Hall of Famer Joe Sewell, along with the signings of Lyn Lary and Art Jorgens. The ball is heavily toned and the stampings are light but still readable with the signatures very bold. A terrific multi-signed Yankees baseball with prominent Ruth and Gehrig signatures and seven Hall of Famers total! This ball comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A82098).
