Offered in this lot is a 1934 American League season pass, good for admission to any of the eight American League ballparks in the 1934 MLB season. Babe Ruth hit his 700th home run on July 13th, 1934, taking Detroit Tigers ace Tommy Bridges deep for a two-run shot in the third inning of the Yankees 4-2 victory over Detroit at Navin Field. Lou Gehrig won the American League Triple Crown, slashing .363/.465/.706 (with his OBP and slugging percentage tops in baseball as well) with 49 homers and 166 RBI. The Tigers, despite the July 13th loss to the Yankees, won the American League pennant with a record of 101-53, a good seven games ahead of the second place Yankees.
