     Presented is President John F. Kennedy’s senior yearbook from The Choate School (Wallingford, Connecticut) from 1935. A small head and shoulder, black and white photograph of Kennedy appears on page 76, along with some brief biographical details, including his participation in the sports of football, basketball and baseball in his freshman, sophomore and junior years, his participation on the golf team in his senior year, and his membership on the board of “The Brief” his last three years in school.

     Kennedy is listed as “John Fitzgerald Kennedy,” with his age listed as 17, his height 5’ 11”, and his weight 155 lbs. It also notes that Kennedy is going to Harvard. The blue hardcover book measures 7 x 9 ½ inches and has a gold stamp on the front cover with “THE BRIEF” in gold letters, the school seal, and the year, “1935.” The spine has “THE BRIEF” in gold letters with “VOL. XXXVI” below. The end papers are blue paper, with silver binding tape inside both the front and back covers. There is slight damage to the binding between pages two and three. The book is illustrated with photos of the senior administrators, notable buildings on campus, and images of each student on the 292 main pages, along with a 48-page advertising supplement at the back of the book.
