Ruth joined the Boston Braves for the 1935 season, when he hit the final six home runs of his career during a 28-game cameo with the Senior Circuit club. The Chicago Cubs won the National League pennant in 1935 by a four-game margin over the St. Louis Cardinals, though the Detroit Tigers would claim the World Series title after a six-game Fall Classic.
