Presented is a classic early 1930’s leather bound autograph book with the signatures of early pro football players from the New York Giants and the Boston Redskins, including Turk Edwards. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1969, Edwards played tackle his entire career for the Braves/Redskins (1932-1940), starting with their first six seasons in Boston, winning All-NFL honors from major media outlets every year of his career except his last one. Edwards continued with the Redskins as an assistant coach from 1941 to 1945 and then as the head coach from 1946 to 1948. After 17 consecutive seasons with the Redskins, Edwards retired from professional football. Edwards has signed his name on the sixth page from the back in blue ink. Other notable signatures include Giants players Bill Morgan, Ken Strong, Kink Richards, Ray Flaherty, and Boston players Swede Olsson, Ernie Pinkert, Ike Frankien. The 5 x 6-inch black leather book has a gold embossed stamp “Autographs” on the front cover in script. This item comes with a LOA from JSA.
