Presented is a 24-card complete set of R48-2 "Film Funnies" non-sports cards issued by Gum, Inc. in 1935. These clever gum cards depict Hollywood superstars of the 1930s in entertaining, comical drawings. Produced in two versions, this is the much scarcer version of the production—wherein the famous, period celebrities featured are identified by name captions on each card. In total, 13 cards have been graded by PSA. Includes: Graded Cards - Graded

PSA EX 5: 2 cards w/#'s 8 Bob Woolsey and 14 Farina;
PSA VG-EX 4: 4 cards w/#'s 2 Oliver Hardy, 4 Jackie Cooper, 6 Jimmy Cagney and 15 Jack Oakie;
PSA VG 3: 5 cards w/#'s 3 Jimmy Durante, 5 Chico Marx, 7 Polly Moran, 13 Mae West and 21 Clark Gable;
PSA FR 1.5: 1 card, #1 W.C. Fields. Ungraded Cards - Highlights include: #'s 12 Greta Garbo (presents EX, trimmed) and 22 Bing Crosby (GD). The ungraded cards - with the exception of the Bing Crosby example - present mostly at the EX (balance is lesser) level, however, they are all trimmed/hand-cut.
