Offered here are two New York Giants season passes for the 1936 and 1941 seasons. The Giants claimed the National League flag in 1936, finishing with a 92-62 record under player-manager Bill Terry. Mel Ott paced the National League with 33 homers and five Giants players hit for a .300 or better batting average, including Ott and Terry. 1936 was also the final season for the Hall of Fame shortstop Travis Jackson. Carl Hubbell won his second National League MVP award in 1936 after recording a 26-6 record with a 2.31 ERA. This pass, originally issued to Mr. Bud Bennie, has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21477419).
The second pass in this lot is from the 1941 Giants season. Terry, in his fourth and final season as the Giants manager, led the team to a fifth-place finish in the National League as Mel Ott posted a Triple Crown slash line of .286/27/90 for the Polo Grounds denizens. Babe Young led the team with 104 RBI and Hal Schumacher, Carl Hubbell, and Bob Carpenter finished the season with double-digit wins.
