The Yankees were dominant in ’38, winning the American League by 9.5 games and defeating the Cubs in a four game World Series. Joe DiMaggio proved once again that he was a superstar, and aging veteran Lou Gehrig put together a tremendous season.

     This Joe DiMaggio Official League baseball has been signed by 29 members of the ’38 Yankees, with Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig signing the sweet spot. Hall of Famers Bill Dickey, Red Ruffing, Left Gomez, and Joe Gordon have also signed this baseball.
